Loop check is an important process that ensures that all components of the loop work together correctly.
Checking the loop covers everything from checking the process parameters and processing the input signals into the control system to activating the control loop's final element.
Some loops are part of safety instrument functions (SIF), which is why the proper functioning of these loops must be ensured. Due to the large number of instruments and loops in the plant, these checks require coordinated support.
